NCPRSA Luncheon to Explore Search Engine Optimization

Raleigh, N.C. – Many communicators have heard the terms “search engine optimization” or “SEO,” but how many know what those terms really mean? More important, do they know how to make SEO work for them? For its next professional development event, the North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) offers a special lunch presentation entitled “Search Engine Optimization: What You Need to Know” on Feb. 24 at RTI International in Research Triangle Park.

Senior Social Search Strategist Brian Chappell of Ignite Social Media will be on hand to share his expertise and address how SEO extends beyond the realm of information technology and can be a powerful tool for communicators. Brian has nearly a decade of Web design and SEO experience. His articles have been published across the Web and in print magazines, including Search Marketing Standard.

Chappell will focus on SEO as it applies to social media – specifically, how to ensure that you’re maximizing blogger outreach, universal search and reputation management.

“Last year’s NCPRSA social media programs were our most popular, so make sure you sign up soon to reserve your spot,” said NCPRSA Programs Co-Chair Gena Renfrow.
